Aging in place is securing your home and your lifestyle for years to come, to ensure that you can continue to lead a happy and fulfilling life without having to move to an assistive facility or nursing home.
What is amazing is that there are many options, resources and groups available to support you in you or your loved ones aging in place initiatives.
The NAIPC, the National Aging in Place Council is one of these resources and they define aging in place in their own way, “The National Aging in Place Council is a senior support network. We work together to solve your problems. NAIPC was founded on the belief that an overwhelming majority of older Americans want to remain in their homes for as long as possible, but lack awareness of home and community-based services that make independent living possible.”

One thing to keep in mind as you do your research and find people and organizations who are interested in assisting you and offering you information, is that there are also a lot of resources that have their own motives in guiding you through the steps to ensure you can “Age in Place.” Always make sure they are not selling you products, but rather informing you of available resources, products, information, insurance, non-profits and government funded organizations that can help you and not them.
